Ms. Viola Louise (Weezee) Artis,65, born October 10, 1958, in Franklin, Virginia to the late Charles and Pearl Lee Faulcon Artis, departed this life on April 11, 2024 at her home on Delaware Rd in Franklin, VA.

Louise was a loving person and always had a smile on her face. She graduated from Southampton High School in Courtland, Virginia. She worked at Food Lion in Franklin, VA in numerous positions until she retired.

Louise had a great talent for arts and crafts such as knitting and crocheting blankets, sweaters, hats, gloves. She created pictures and posted beautiful pictures to Facebook. Louise is preceded in death by both parents Charles and Pearl Artis, sister Hazel Vaughan, brothers Robert Hamlin and Lessly Artis.

Louise leaves behind seven loving sisters: Shirley Chatman of Norfolk, VA; Mable Grayson of Solon, OH; Bessie Lawrence (Robert) of Chesapeake, VA; Juanita Artis of Bowie, MD; Mary Whidbee of Chesapeake VA; Francine Peeples (James) and Patricia Johnson (Lionel) of Virginia Beach, VA; brother in law Del Vaughan of Dayton OH and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. She had a special relationship with her cousins Barbara Tanner, John Faulcon and friend Janet Stephens.

A funeral service will be held in the Elvin Vaughan Memorial Chapel, 1717 South St in Franklin, VA 23851, at 11 a.m. on April 18, 2024.
