Mrs. Sherita Murphy-Gray, 39, born on December 17,1982 in Franklin, VA to Mr. Shelton Devon Artis, Sr. and Ms. Leshia Ann Murphy, passed away on November 19, 2022.

Sherita attended Potomac Job Corp where she received her high school diploma. She attended Olive Branch Baptist Church at a young age and later rededicated her life to First Baptist Church in Franklin, VA. Once she relocated to Jacksonville, FL, she joined St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church.  Sherita worked as a full-time CNA at Riverwood Center in Jacksonville, FL before coming ill in 2016.

She loved spending time with family and friends. Baking was one of her favorite hobbies. She had a heart of gold and enjoyed helping and feeding the less fortunate.

On Saturday November 19, 2022, Sherita and God had a conversation. He offered her a promotion of a lifetime that she couldn't turn down. She was promoted from an Earthy Angel to a Heavenly Angel.

Sherita leaves behind to cherish her memories husband Antonio Gray; three daughters Shamylia Murphy (Jaron), Shay'Quan Murphy, and Saniyah Gray of Jacksonville, FL; one son Amari Williams of Sandusky, OH; parents Mr. Shelton D. Artis, Sr. of Capron, VA and Ms. Leshia A. Murphy of Franklin, VA; three grandson Ayden Murphy, Tyshawn Boone, Chance Murphy of Jacksonville, FL; three sisters Letitia Murphy (Antonio), Keshia Boone, Denishia Thomas; four brothers Antwan Murphy, Sr. (Dominique) of Jacksonville, FL., Shelton Artis, Jr. of Capron, VA, Bronze Jordan (Kimberly), DemonTrelle  Jordan both of Franklin, VA.

A host of nieces, nephews, god-sisters, and god-brothers. She also leaves special love to her BF Yvette Vanicia Weathers.

A viewing will be held Sunday, November 27, 2022, from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Monday, November 28, 2022, at 1 p.m. in First Baptist Church on 318 Hall Street in Franklin, VA.
