Ms. Mary Gainey, 84, of Franklin, Virginia, predeceased by her father Mr. Henry Jones, Sr., mother Mrs. Ruth Jones, husband Robert Gainey, and brothers Jack Jones (Brenda Jones) and Wallace Jones, entered into eternal rest on Monday, January 30, 2023.

Mary Gainey's beautiful life will forever be cherished in the lives of  her children: daughter Elaine Stokes (Carl Stokes), son Alvin Jones (Gwen Jones), daughter Gwen Gainey-Benn (Jimmy Lee-Benn), daughter Robin Gainey-Burton (Darrick Burton); 5 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren; brother Henry Jones, Jr. (Cynthia Jones), brother Morris Jones (Florene Jones), sister Lois Golden (Russell Golden), sister Betty Ann Ricks, sister-in-law Claudette Jones, and a host of devoted nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

The viewing will be held Friday, February 3, 2023 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. in the Elvin Vaughan Memorial Chapel of Vaughan - Temple Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held Saturday, February 4, 2023 at 11 a.m. in the Apostolic Faith Church of God, 608 Oak St. Franklin, VA 23851.
