Obituary

One Sunday afternoon, on October 15, 2023. Eunice Reynolds gained her wings. Her life begins in Southampton County on February 22, 1964, where she was born to the late George T. Taylor, Jr and Rosa M. Brown. Eunice was the second youngest child born of eighteen siblings. Eunice grew up with the nickname 'Chy Chy' or 'Pickle'. She was the 'life of the party', as her motto was "No fool, no fun, won't be none". Throughout Eunice's life, her hobbies were fishing, playing games and completing crossword puzzles and word searches.

Eunice Reynolds loved her family and was known to everyone mostly as a giver. A giver of love as well as a giver of things. When someone was in need, she never hesitated to give her last. Not only did she love her family, but Eunice had a special place in her heart for children. When it came to special events for the kids, she was always the first to participate and donate.

Eunice was a member of Saving Grace Community Outreach Ministry of Emporia, Va. In attendance, she was a worship leader, a speaker, a choir director, a helper, an usher, and so much more. All in all, she was a woman of God and of faith who had a heart for her Pastors and leaders. Eunice was truly devoted and committed to sharing the word of God, no matter her health condition.

Eunice is preceded in death by her parents, George Taylor Jr. and Rosa Brown Taylor. Eunice joins her siblings; Robert Taylor, Leslie Taylor, Wayne Taylor, Layne Taylor and Carolyn Mitchell and her children; Jarnice Stephens, Eunika Brown, and Dwayne Brown in Heaven.

Eunice memories will live on through her son, Charlie Brown, along with those she considered her sons and daughters: Javon Worrell-Powell, Eric Brown, LaCresha Hudson, and Marquita Mitchell; grandchildren; Raekwon Brown, Serinity McCollum, Notoriou' Brown, LaNiah Artis, Tyriq Dickerson, TyMaurie Brown, Tykenya Dickerson, Zyquon Brown, Christopher Patterson, JaZyiah McClenny, Kimonie Brown, Igleasia Brown, and Ila-Mackenzie Brown; and great grandchildren; Aria Kurtzhalts and Reyna Tennessee. Her siblings: Lena Taylor, George Taylor Jr., Carson Taylor, Dexter Taylor, Patricia Taylor, Milton Taylor, Noral Brown, Bessie Brown, Virginia Little, Audrey Mitchell, and George Brown along with a host of other family and friends.

Even when she was weak, God brought her strength to carry on. We will miss Eunice for her loving, caring, kind heartedness. She will be remembered for her heart of gold and her willingness to spread the gospel of God.
