Ms. Essie M. (Kindred) Collins, 90, passed on January 26, 2022. She was a minister of music for more than 73 years. Essis was preceded in death by her parents Willie Kindred Sr. and Elsie Sharp Kindred.


Essie leaves to cherish her memory her devoted nieces, who were like daughters to her, Ella Pope (Franklin, VA), Gloria Kindred (Franklin, VA), Cynthia D. Britt (Franklin, VA), Barbara Cooper- Breuman (Silver Spring, MD) and a host of relatives and friends.


The viewing is Friday. February 4, 2022 from 3 p.m. - 6 p.m. in Vaughan - Temple Funeral Home chapel; service is Saturday, February 5,2022 at 11:00 a.m. at New St. Mount Holiness Church. Interment is at Southview Cemetery. Vaughan - Temple Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements.
