Ms. Edith M. (Bowers) Mountcastle, 67, of Southampton County, VA was called home October 17, 2022. Edith was a pillar of the community. A mother or grandmother to all who knew her. She did a lot for many but would never ask anything in return.

A viewing will take place on Sunday, October 23, 2022 from 6 p.m. - 8 p.m. in the chapel of Vaughan - Temple Funeral Home, 1717 South St. Franklin, VA. The funeral service will be held in the Apostolic Faith Church of God General Assembly, 608 Oak Street in Franklin on Monday, October 24, 2022 11 a.m. Her interment will be at Southview in Franklin. Vaughan-Temple Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
