Ms. Diann Smith, 66, was born on November 10, 1955, in Southampton County VA, proceeded in death by her mother Margaret Louis Smith and her father James T. Jones, departed this world and entered the gates of Heaven on September 15, 2022.

Diann graduated from Windsor High School in 1976.  She was employed for several years at Smithfield Packing and she spent several years as a CNA taking care of others which was her passion. Diann also loved her children, grandchildren, and family with all her heart.

Diann leaves to cherish her memories her ex. husband Leon Everett Sr.; four children Markita Smith, Jermaine Everett, Lakeisha Stevens (Melvin Stevens), Leon Everett Jr.; five grandchildren Quiaira Smith, Julius Stephens Jr., Precious Stephens, Jada Joyner, Levi Maddox; two bonus sons of her ex-husband Derrick Griffin and Julius Stephens; five sisters Brenda Womble, Lavern Smith, Annette Flythe (Hurley Flythe), Frankie Smith, Marcie Smith; four brothers Donald Smith, Clayton Smith, Barry Smith (Lynette Smith), Ronnie Smith (Connie Smith); three aunts Lucy Stephens, Lorraine Carter, Velma Smith; one uncle Albert Smith and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A viewing will take place Friday, September 23, 2022 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. in New Mt. Zion Baptist Church, 415 Stonewall St, Franklin, VA 23851.
